Our name reflects our essence - RAI meaning care and protection, and WYN meaning rain and freshness in the Pnar language. Together, they symbolize the purity that grows under rain and is safeguarded by nature.
RAIWYN Roots was created to give identity and dignity to the indigenous farmers especially women who cultivate Meghalaya’s finest crops, including the world-renowned Lakadong turmeric and ginger. What once left the villages as anonymous produce now carries a name, a story, and a purpose.
Guided by the LIC HFL Sangam initiative, we are building a value chain rooted in sustainability, equity, and community ownership. Every product under RAIWYN Roots embodies conscious cultivation, ethical sourcing, and ecological care.
